Grindworks MB-101A
« on: January 27, 2021, 04:01:07 AM »
Just got some pics of the latest muscle backs from Grindworks... The MB-101A.

The design looks really well thought out.  Look at the offset or lack thereof and the leading edge beveling.  Defo not an oversized iron but also not BB small as well.  And going by Grindworks irons of past, these will feel very very nice as well.

Good job Kobayashi and Nimi.

P.S.  If the pics are crappy, its because the camera guy is fked.

Really like this brand, wanted to try the dp2, unfortunately I really donít like the design of the pcx, too colorful.

But the putter is a beast

Very nice looking blade!  Many things to like, but shape/look at address is at the top of the list, IMO.

I think pretty much everything goes full circle now and then... and then again... and again...

This for me has many things right... overall size, offset, leading edge, top line. sole width.

Sole width... so important. Thatís one of the main things I didnít like about the Kyoei blades from 2-3 years ago - too wide for my swing.

These look like very nice functional and probably fairly easy to hit blades. Cant say Iím a huge fan of their looks as far as bag appeal but I imagine they probably look a lot better in hand. Toe is perhaps a little round for my taste.

If this is anything like the first gen irons from Grindworks, in my hands, the feel is very very good.  Close to Epon but just a tad firmer which in this case is a good thing imo.
