I have a set of these heads. Couldn't resist when I saw them, ordered direct from Makino. Makino seems to be a revival of an old brand similar to Fujimoto. Both are being brought to life by a marketing company (I went deep on google to find this info). They're putting out nice product. I'm not sure who exactly does their forging and grinding, but perhaps Oichi forging and Fuji grind?
I've owned Fujimoto and Makino, and the Makino has a better head shape to me in the short irons where I felt Fuji lacked. If ordering direct you can customize things like toe shape, head weight, sole grind, offset, etc. Similar to Miura Custom World.
They are certainly small, but I believe have a progressive CG and certainly a unique look. They play like a blade. I am liking them so far, shafted with Oban CT-115, although certainly not my favorite in my collection. Let me know if you have any questions, happy to answer what I can.
