SO promised pics of my home DIY fitting do.. its on my small side porch beside the pond (amazing how these guppies and "lonkang" (local term) fish can fark and reproduce.. bring on the mice...
My collapsible work bench with the swing weight scale, my Brampton epoxy, shaft beads in the tin etc..

Heat gun.... always need a heat gun especially for me with graphite shafts in irons.. I;ve seen so many DIY botched jobs on forums (here too) where wood heads start to bubble... almost certain those have been torched...

Measuring rule... super easy to make and quite essential...

And boxes full of other essentials.. ferrules, swing weight stuff, drill, sanding paper to turn down, shaft spinner, flo clamp, cutting tool, solvent, acetone etc...

There's no process flow as the equipment is kept each time and not laid out permanently. Where it takes me maybe 1.5 hours to take apart and put back and get to the right weight etc a full set of irons at my friend's shop, it could take me double the time at home. Good thing its a hobby thing and just for me to muck around. My work however, if I say so myself, is very precise and how many fitters say they hand turn their ferrules huh... well, because they have the machine and don't friggin have to.
You think I will get the master title as I hand turn? The butler to young English Manor Heathcliff Bates would have a field time... "Are you done Master Bates? Lunch is served."
