Roddio compact mid review
« on: November 01, 2019, 07:19:24 PM »
Almost wrote this club off until I had a track man session with it and the other drivers today...the lineup-

155/Xanadu at 11/45.5
Ryoma Premia/loop cl proto 10.5/45.5
Roddio compact mid 12/44.25

Bottom line, numbers were so much better with the roddio Iím sticking with it...launch angle was 13-15*, angle of attack 0-3* it was so much easier to close the face...I did have a few double crosses but in an hour and a half hitting drives, my average numbers were superior with the roddio...

I donít hit my longest drives with it...best I can squeeze out of it reliably is 255 but itís more accurate than my 4w...and itís workable...I can hit draws or cuts when I want with it ...plus it kinda goes with my whole kick the shit outta the big hitters mojo...itís my starter again for now...

Well...she comes and she goes...didnít have much today accept a few delightful wedge shots...this was 225 into these winds all day...on a soft 6850 yard course, thatís just not gonna get her done...the dreaded double cross reared itís ugly head today...meh...

Still have...donít se it much...itís the best when I need 240 middle of the fairway...I rarely need that though, my course is 6900 at sea level so need all the distance I can get...usually playing the 904dj or sometimes uncle j,s ryoma premia...I may go Usdm...was getting this epic/48g vandyl shaft 265 which is a really good drive for me...

Absolutely love the roddio mid...if my home track was a short tight mountain course it would never leav my big but alas...I need every yard I can get...,

If it were a deep I'd try take her off your hands.  I play a short tight track, no mountains though.

I think you might like the mid better...I hear itís much more forgiving and the high ss guys can still carve fades with it...I play with a former web dot com player regularly...tall thin guy but fit...strong...rips his driver 340 off the deck...lotta lag...he just eased back a titch and dropped that thing 330 wherever he wanted...lunar is a surprisingly resilient shaft...heís wanting lunar 8 though....

I don't think it is a performance thing its more about head shape.  But I can low-ball with the best of them... Hit me up on WhatsApp.

You still have extra Roddio UTs?

Anyone have ability to get a hold of the wrench for futzing with weights?

Have a few rounds in with the Deep, shafted with a Loop IP prototype.  Love the non sound and dense feel.  Can seemingly control launch angle.  Have not seen much roll out, but that is probably due to course condition than club.
