Drol, you should post a  writeup about each set.
Good idea. But not on all of those. Besides i am doing a renovation of my home golf workshop in between work so this may take a while.

And a few of those clubs you already did a very good write up, iirc so no need for mine.  :)

More opinions on the same clubs are tremendously useful for comparison's sake.

How do you like the Three Luck blades?  Have been toying with the idea of getting a set of those.

That club is with my friend now. It was on the firmer side of soft (which not a bad thing actually) and had a sharper leading edge that made it a bit more difficult on softer conditions. Sole grind was like the old model tourstage x blade 2. Offset and topline was perfect (minimal offset, thin topline), neck transition/ flow was great.

One thing about it that set it apart from the other mb sets  that i own was that on address it looked like it wants to fade. I think the toe part near the sole was a little rounded in such a way that on address even if the scoelines are square to target, the whole club seems open. I dont know if that makes any sense. The friend who got it also noted the same and since he was fighting a hook he kept on bugging me to sell it. i made the mistake of offering to sell it if he pays me the same amount i paid for it. Now its with him. :(

So you miss them?

Better performing on hardpan than soft conditions...

Did the open look at address translate to fades or just help the psyche?

I always miss those i sell. Hehe. Thats why i have so many sets, i have a problem letting go.
Perfect for our summers here in asia.
I didnt really find them fade biased. Easy to move left or right.

How do you rotate through the collection or do you just play current set?

You're making me feel better though, I only have 9 sets.

You're making me feel better though, I only have 9 sets.

I play a different set every round. Because i have done this for several years now, it doesnt really matter much what set i use, i just adjust depending on the loft of the set, club up or down. Even the putters of which i have close to 40, it probably takes me about two three holes to adjust to it. The funny thing is if i play a serious game say a major club tournament, i have a hard time deciding what to put on the bag.

So i think its safe to say at least for me its not the equipment but the swing that really matters. Well maybe some equipment may be better depending on the type of course and condition of the fairways. Like i prefer blades during summer and more gi types during rainy season. But this is probably true for me only because i am not really an elite low handicap player and i prefer the challenge of playing a different set to score close to my handicap rather than playing to keep improving on my handicap.

I find a lot of pleasure tinkering, testing different shafts, weights, swing balance. It also helps that our betting is not serious money.

Always considered Bucchi to be more a marketing push by Fark than anything else.

Are they worth considering?

Depends on what you want. Me, i got it because it has a unique design. Most other blades are just slight variations of the muscle here and there, 360 cnc milling, etc. Some designs that i initially thought to be unique were actually seen in clubs made in the 90s just changed a bit in loft and sole grind. This one i havent seen in other irons of the past.
