Are you a 1st Class kinda guy or just get me there for the best price?

Me, I take Southwest Airlines if they fly where I'm going (and they do make this route) . Most often they have the best price.

I take Southwest when I can as well.  2 free bags and prices that are always competitive and they are efficient....

Ask Phil to swing by and pick you up...

Maybe you can teach him to hit the ball straight ?!

ok.. I just check southwest.  Last direct flight out of SFO to Dalles is 3.45pm. Next flight is a layover in Vegas and 4 hour flight, I don't fancy that after a 15 hour flight.

I land at SFO at 1330 assuming no delays, I hear international customs is still slow.  I;m not sure if there is swift lane benefit at SFO. If not, I expect another 1.5 hours with baggage colleciton.  I uderstand for domestic, you need to check in luggage 1 hour before flight time so anything earlier than a 5pm SFO Dallas flight is risky.

What's the next 2 best airlines?

Thanks

Just went on some PCWs... seems like American airlines is the only airline that has a 5+pm flight to Dallas.  I'm surprised. I thought there would be more competition.

I fly to Austin TX several times a year from San Jose. I actually prefer Alaska Air over Southwest. You may want to check OAK (Oakland) and SJC (San Jose) for arrival & departures as alternatives to SFO.

Dallas has 2 airports: DAL & DFW. Looks like Alaska and Southwest both fly domestically into DAL from the Bay Area.

Thanks but getting to Oakland or San Jose is going to be too much of a hassle.  Man.  Prices of domestic flights have gone up.  On American, it's slightly north of a grand for 2 round trip and that's excluding baggage charge.

I have also had good luck with Alaska Air.  Frontier is another budget airline you could look at.  They are more inconsistent.  Have been great and have been a challenge.  But Frontier is usually pretty cheap.  They do fly SF to Dallas.  Domestic flights have gone up.  And the planes are usually pretty full!

Well I just found out that I will get express clearance at sfo  I may be able to make a South West flight after all.  It'll still be really tight though.
