Roddio R-sole with Lunar review
« on: January 26, 2019, 08:07:43 PM »
Have played a few rounds with baffy 16.7, 43" lunar 6 @ D4 and 21 hybrid UT lunar 7, 41" D4

Wow, just wow...hit a decent drive on 2nd hole (535yrd par 5) and then proceeded to rip a 245 yard Baffy into a slight headwind to within 10 yards of the green..,just a sneaky long baby draw...felt so good...was hearing chuck mangioni in my head...

The hybridUT is sick...it's too long,,,,peeled a 215 yard baby cut to a back pin on 17 today...just 5 yards off the back into the wind...so so pure...on 15 into a strong wind (425 yards) I had 188 in and put it pin high left 10 feet...

These feel great and look amazing...perform well too...haven hit a bad shot yet with them...very long...I'm in love with the lunar...a compact driver is coming with lunar 6...so easy to load but I can go at it...

On 8, a 540 yard par 5 I ripped it over a bunker to 60 yards...my drive was pretty short so am guessing it was 250...a bit of help wind but still, I'm a smooth swinger...maybe 102 with the driver...

I love these...get some, u won't regret them.  Lunar is the best roddio shaft yet...more on the rubbery than glassy side in feel but pretty low spin and great traj...strong, mid high but flattens out and just carries...not enough good things to say about these...

Can you give me feedback on flex, launch and feel on the Lunar in the driver?  You play the lunar 6 at 44 with tip weight???

Im undecided between Lunar6&5+...Im right around that 100-105 club head speed with the driver but I have a very smooth swing and transition...most of it comes close to the ball...angle of attack is slightly negative...around 2-3* these days...if I go by the charts Id be fine either way which is whats bothering me about the decision...I prefer too much mass to too little but this is my driver, I need distance...Im gonna play it 44&1/2...am thinking Ill lose 10 yards from my 155/basi aplha playing 46 but Ive had a few pull hooks of late...also a lot of blocks that are a bit more aggressive and are boarderline versus short and in play...

I contacted Roddio re my Lunar6, and although these are not flex rated, he indicated that the lunar 6 would be SX flex if it was....
I think if your Smooth the 5+ would be killer...

Yes I did drop 8gram into the Tip and then made my own Heavy Sole plate ...
Its brought the club alive!

I also lofted it up by 1*

Next Id like a few heavy plate screws!!

The feel/sound and flight are fantastic!
