Passing of a legend....
« on: November 17, 2018, 03:27:12 PM »
John Morrison passed last week...he was a good man and a good golfer...he first started playing regularly in his late 20s at springfield, colorado golf club.  They had dirt/sand greens that had to be raked then rolled before each putt...he had a renaissance in his 80s, shooting his age several hundred times...he drove a mercedes amg 2 seater 12 cylinar most days up until 101 and 6 months...he made his living as a broomcorn wholesaler / distributor, traveling throught the conus and ole mexico buying broomcorn, playing golf and serving clients..,he was know to take 3 nips of scotch every evening along with his pipe...recite the works of Shakespeare on que and tell jokes on all occasions.  His grandparents came from scotland and were original Oklahoma sooners...he used to marvel at them saying imagine coming from there and then racing for your choice of free land...He taught me to play the game, the value of a dollar and many other things...the toughest damn old scott I ever knew died in his bed surrounded by family at 101 and 11 months.  He was more cogent at 101 and 10&1/2 months then I've ever been.....I miss him terribly...God rest his soul!

Thx guys, grief is a funny thing...Was sad last w/e but then life...

Hey proswing, long time.  Glad you could make that Zen work.  I just didn't have the stroke for her...grandfather would have disowned me if he knew the details of that purchase...or 50+ others...
