Bridgestone Tour B XS
« on: November 11, 2018, 12:23:01 AM »
Not sure where this falls in the Bridgestone line but it's a very decent all round ball.  A bit firm feeling but just a tad.  Good distance off the tee and holds greens well off wedges and irons.  Putts well too.  Made a few pars and a birdie on holes I played it until the last hole when I chucked it into the water ..Lol..

I'll likely pick up a few boxes when in bkk.

B330s was a heck of a ball for me...not coming close to the AVX though...art, u should try the AVX.  Guaranty it's longer for you...very very good around the greens as long as u put decent spin on your wedges....

I think I will.  I was told by different parties that it is really longer but holding greens is an issue.  Will try some this weekend.

Have not hit the AVX but also heard it is a low spin ball. That is why it is long.

I thought the AVX was going to be the unicorn ball for me and while I admit it seems quite long nothing about it really stood out to me. I like the feel of TP5 and B330RX better and get similar performance. I sold my last two sleeves and havenít looked back.

Was surprised how good the TP5 was.  Was expecting something like the v1x but more like the b330s for me.

I don't think the AVX is right for higher swing speed players.  Everyone at my club has tried it, only one masher I know loves it....everyone with 90-100 mph clubhead speed I know who's tried it loves it...some don't play it b/c of price.  It is a low spin (for a urethane cover) ball with the driver.  I notice it spins a little less on chips and pitches compared to v1&v1x but I'm consistently closer to the hole with AVX...

For me it's the best I've tried so if you have 95 mph driver clubhead speed and put good spin on your wedges I think you'll like it..

I love the Tour B XS. For me it has all of the performance I liked in the 330S, but with the feel and spin around the greens that I love in the Titleist ProVís.
I also found the RXS was a good substitute for the XS in cold weather; i seemed to be able to get my irons to fly closers to full measure in cool conditions, where the XS was coming up short (marginally)

Iím playing the X. Super low spin off the long clubs and enough spin around the green. Pretty firm but not as firm as previous versions.

Probably too firm for guys like wmclarenf1 and FreeHB but for guys like me and Ian and Stu that can swing a club faster than Oprah runs, itís nigh perfect imo.

I'll have to try the 'x' out. Thanks for the info.
