Can you play to much Golf?

Seriously , can you play to much so that you become to complacent?

If your not part of the Solution , then your part of the Problem!!

I wish I ever was in the position to ask myself that. But unfortunately that is not the case.

When I’m playing poorly (like I am at the moment), I sometimes feel like taking a break but then an alternative is to lower my expectations and just enjoy it as a game and not even worry about score.

I'm starting to feel like the more I played the more sucky I got ...  currently I am playing 1 to 2 rounds per week and my body says "that's enough"

Definiyely not playing too much and like Nob, 2 rounds a week if ever will be out of the norm and likely too much.  Also, I cant play 2 days in a row.  Second day will really be a struggle.. Those guys on tour know nothin man.. Nothin....

Just read that Lexi Thompson WD’d from the Ladies British Open and is taking a long break from the LPGA Tour to “recharge her batteries “.

Since our season is short i try and play as much as i can. Usually 3 rounds per week. As we get late in the summer i do lose the zeal to play that much each week. So yes i think you can play to much golf. The scores suffer and so does the mind.

Sometimes.  After a 3 day member guest...18, 27 18 I have had enough.

I also hate playing when the heat index is 105.

I think I could do 2 rounds a week no issue.  Haven't been able to do that in years....

.NO!  Can never play to much...  Sadly my body doesn't make it through the 2 rounds a day, 4 days straight marathons like it used too but if it weren't for bills, college, etc...I would play and practice every single day...at least 18 holes a day...

There have been a few times after lessons with a moron and my game in the crapper where the desire faded some but I still prefer playing a shitty round to the hen pecking from mrs free...

The marathons though are the best and most fulfilling...the 2nd round on the 5th day of a 2-3 round per day marathon is fun for me, just very relaxing...touch is sublime, nothing but pars, a few birdies...bad holes a bogey...golf is a feel game, gotta be played...the trackman and technique crap robs the spirit of the game IMO...

Getting old sucks but golf is literally the only sport I'm physically able to compete in...life just loses its luster without competition for me...

Gotta play gotta play gotta PLAY!!!

Went down to the conservatory for the Friday game (our course got punched this week).  What a delightful round...tough course, one of those 1/3 type rounds (1/3 loose, 1/3 decent and 1/3 excellent shots) type rounds...just didn't make many putts outside the 5/6 foot par saves...

Really looking forward to retirement and 6 rounds a week, I'd move down here and play this track 3 or 4 times a week and the ocean course 2 or 3...golf is fun, wheeeeeeee!

Blue...

This is why you can never play too much golf...haven't broke 80 for 2 weeks...finished double double for a 79 today...the gummies snuck up on me...

Wish I'd gotten a better pick, this chick was wearing an awesome bakini...had a great base!  Unfortunately her husband was a couple tables over so I was trying to be discrete...
