Iomic grip fans? and which type?
« on: July 12, 2018, 02:29:40 PM »
Been using Golf Pride MCC Plus 4 for the last year or so but I found that they are not very durable especially on the driver where my left thumb meets the grip.  And so I started looking into other grips....   Went back to trying Iomics and found a couple that I like.     IXX 2.3  and  the X Grip 2.3(Hard Feel)
They both feel a bit firmer than MCC+4 and so far the driver seems to be holding up nicely.   The X Grip 2.3 is the Hideki Matsuyama version with firmer compound and the sky blue logo and grip end.   Will be using these on my next irons.

I equipped my latest wedges with the IXx 2.3 and Im very pleased so far. Normally I play Lamkin UTx wrap style grips but Im thinking about changing them all into the IXx 2.3. The IXx 2.3 is softer than the UTx but not mushy soft. And their material is much better than the Golf Pride rubber.

Yeah, those are my 3rd favorite grips...I do not like thin, firm grips...art/stu can keep their perfect pro's on our next lil-bro special...am developing some arthritis and need shock absorption to play as much as I do...also jave found that thicker grips help me swing more freely...5 low 2 high on the 2.3, just right where my middle finger barely touches the palm.  Iomic stay fresh longer than most...

"5 on the low side" ... I might need to try that!

Still less than half of what Bubba has under his grips..   13 and 11 or something crazy like that!!   He must have ginormous hands..

Y360 SH grips are good. Have one on a hybrid. Firm and I believe slightly smaller diameter.

I personally like Sticky 1.8. Playing them on woods, hybrids, and irons.

I still like Perfect Pro cord and Tour G cord.
Except one of my PP cords ripped at the seam during installation once. It wasnt a built up grip or oversized butt so not sure what caused it other than Mfg defect

Feel like Ive tried about all the grips out there and then fell in love with the rather mundane Golf Pride CP2 wraps. Super tacky and extremely durable. Just feel right to me.
