Basileus Triphas shaft breakdown
« on: May 29, 2018, 01:42:30 PM »
Does anyone have/know the difference between the various basileus shaft's

the ones I am looking for are the A, B, and Z (i know there are pro spec version of each, but i think they are just more rigid versions) I am more interested in the characteristics of the A,B, and Z.

thanks.

**there is also a new z version 2 coming out fairly soon.

I have an extra fw 75s lying around...it's actually my favorite fairway shaft of all time.  I've just been playing those Roddio fwys and the F7s plays real well so hesitant to break up a well performing combo...

Anyone tried Zaffiro (1 or 2) FW? According to the chart it's a soft butt, soft tip, right? What's the closes profile to it from Mitsu?

Haven't tried it but soft butt and tip is not Mitsubishi's style...maybe the illima?

Hmm... bummer. I tried Kuro Kage Black HBP before but I thought tip was too soft. I've been playing Silver TINI in my 3W and it performs pretty good except sometimes it launches pretty low. Would love to find something that feels like that but perhaps has little better launch and spin.

Basilius Fiamma might be right up your alley...feels similar to the Diamanna blue but a bit higher launch.  For me it's been hard to find a driver shaft that launches high but doesn't have a super lively tip and feel a little noodley.
