Shame! Shame! Shame!
« on: April 21, 2018, 04:21:26 PM »
My good buddy had some kinda championship come up for one of his sons and rather than sub I decided to do something I feel ashamed of...skip the member guest and take my wife to Jekyll Island for the weekend.  Her parents are taking our boys for the weekend and ive been playing 3 rounds a week for the past month which is a lot for a man with a full time job, 2 young kids and a wife and dog and am tired of the angry side of mrs free...

Really great golf destination if you're interested.  Pace of play was great, the courses (63 total holes) are true links some of them anyway...right on the ocean.  Food is fantastic and not too pricey...not the member guest but am enjoying myself...

I wish I had your dilemmas. If I take the wife somewhere, there is one thing you can be sure of. Golf will not ever be a part of it.  :-\

Wait, let me get this straight... you felt guilty about playing too much golf lately... so you took your wife to a golf resort??

Those are some kinda coconuts for pulling that off!

I guess like many haven't xperienced Drive400!  Very few grasp the fundamental concepts of the free wife mgmt system.  Set the bar low my friends...if you haven't taken it to the brink of divorce within the first 5 years, odds are you're done...unless you have manipulation superpowers....meh...buy the 4 dvd set, well worth the $99.99...

Free highly recommends Jekyll Island resort.  Stay at the old hotel, not the westin or the other places on the island.  It's a very quiet, low key place.  Somewhere in between Cumberland and Amelia islands.  The golf is good, very unique, lots of fun, esp if you like ocean and marsh courses.  They have 3 championship courses and one really cool turn of the century 9 right on the ocean.

Very affordable.  Nice accommodations run $200 per night for 2 at the old resort which I would highly recommend for all the amenities but if you want modern, the westin on the beach is nice.  Lots of good restaurants, most are at the resort.  It's a very quiet place.  Did see a few kids but the place still has the old robber Barron luxury vibe.  Wife was real happy...
