searching for new hybrid
« on: January 25, 2018, 02:07:18 AM »
Hey guys! Im in the market for a new hybrid. I prefer the look of more iron style club heads so my favorites are RomaRo iBrid Chapter 2 and Fourteen HI-877. I found some information and reviews about the Chapter 2 but only little information about the Fourteen. Especially no information about the stock shaft in the Fourteen.
Does anybody here have hit both clubs or know a little bit more about them?
Thank you in advance!

Have not hit both but I own and game the iBrid chapter 2. From what I saw the Fourteen has lots of offset which put me off.
The Chapter2 is very solid feeling. Taller face (which I prefer on hybrids). It is plenty long as well. Can go go low and high if you want. All in all very good. In fact it is so good for me that I don't feel any need to look for other hybrids since I put it in the bag.

Romaro hybrids are tough to beat. Have had my Type R for like 4 years now and never even think about swapping it out. It replaced an I-brid which I really liked. The Chapter 2 Ive always wanted to try but just dont see where it would fit in the bag for me. I love my 3 hybrid and 4 iron Srixon U45

Chapter 2 is best compact hybrid around. If you can stand the look, hard to beat Egg I+.  New 2018 Egg hybrid has regular crown, not scooped out.

For USDM, King F6 is... king.

im plasying a SAQRA......... I hate hybrids as a rule, cud never get  them wired ,but I stuck an NS 125 in this and its really unobtrusive and goes dead straight.. know fk all  about them  but ill swear blind by it and its 18*.. much easier t htit off thedc than the driving iron but its not as versatile from the tee, its simply point shoot.. my days of utes are finished. this is   ok.

Thank you so far, guys. I will try the RomaRo ch2 first - it has the biggest chance to stay in the bag from what I read about it and from your comments here.

Tested the RomaRo iBrid Chapter 2 yesterday in 22/i3. Shaft was a FineOne Atrax. Had to choke down a little bit because of the midsize grip that was installed. Ball flew 5yds further than my 18/i2 Hybrid by a non JDM brand and with less effort. I don't think another hybrid can top that Chapter 2 thing so my search for a new hybrid is over.

Congrats on finding one of the best hybrids out there ;D I have a 19 and 22. Where did you get it from and how did you manage to get one so fast? If I remember correctly, you are located in Germany, aren't you?

Yes, I'm located in Munich, Germany. I build clubs as a small side business.  ;)  In 2017 I started to change over to JDM components businesswise. Before that I mainly worked with Tom Wishon's products for several years. The Wishon 331H hybrid is or better was the last club in my bag from this era.
