Crazy STP Tour 95
« on: January 05, 2018, 09:47:44 AM »
Couldn't find much information on this shaft.
Guess it plays like all crazy shaft stiffer than flex?

Anyone tried this one?

I believe these STP 95 Tour is a new weight option that recently came out.

I had the STP Proto 100 for a season ... boardy as heck....
On a positive note,  straighter flights than anything else I have used.
Feel is dead...   did not like it.

I currently use the STP 85 in my Modart hybrid.
Works really well.    Does not feel as boardy as the 100g shaft.

Another perspective.

I've never tried the STP, but I've never felt Crazy shafts to play stiffer to flex or boardy. Tried/gamed CBi-02, black wedge, CB50, black utility, FW80 all in stiff or 7.2/7.4 flex and I actually felt that they were soft to flex!!! Obviously I was never fitted for these but I bought in to the idea that they play stiffer. Not for me.

I have heard of these comments more from players who have quick aggressive transition with lots of lag in their swing....
I am the polar opposite which might explain the different perception.

From the older generation, I played the LY02 shaft. For a lightweight shaft it was pretty stable. I woulp probably classify it as slightly stiffer to flex maybe. I then had a newer model Regenesis Cb80LS. This was not stiff at all. I did actually find it pretty soft. I think the newer shafts are toned down a little. At least the driver shafts. Never played any crazy iron shafts though.

Thank you all for the input.
Saw a 4 hybrid with that shaft in it and was really ready to give it a try unfortunately someone else was faster than me :(

Not this shaft in particular but the STP UT 75.  I play that in my pxg 19 and I think it's excellent so much so I got another stp ut 75 for some other head.
