with that john daly swing, his dispersion is not surprising.  My dispersion is not bad, but still, when testing a new driver, I will frequently have one drive that goes about 15-20 yards longer than the others, when everything comes together just right.   Some of the better drivers give me that occasional extra kick, and other lesser drivers don't.  But you always wonder if the straighter and shorter driver would be better overall.

I did hit 14/14 drives in fairway for the 1st time ever this year with an MT6S shaft.   But pulled the shaft the next week as I hit it too high.  It was actually the 2nd time - the other time I hooked my drive on 18 into a tree stump and it bounced back into the fairway, but I don't count that one.

Thanks for the video Ian.    Fun to watch someone make the leap from a USDM to a JDM boutique brand driver.

My take on his numbers are that the launch angle is way too low for someone with that swing speed.
Both shafts are tip stiff shafts with the but end being softer.   This does not help with his rather aggressive transition.
This guy needs a higher launching butt stiff shaft with low spin.
From the Tour AD series  he'd probably do well with a DJ or possibly an EV both of which have firmer butt with an active tip.
Fuji  Evo III or Evo IV could be a good match as well.
