My JDM blog
« on: December 13, 2017, 10:54:14 PM »
In H's thread where he called out members for not posting their reviews, I mentioned that I have a blog on a different site. But before I give out the link, I just want to clear any suspicions.

1. Yes, the site where I have my blog is a golf equipment vendor site. However, I am NOT an owner, partner, or employee. Trust me on this.
2. In return for my blog posts, the CEO gives me a VERY small discount on equipment.
3. I started out as a customer, and was approached by the CEO directly to write reviews of the clubs I had bought from him.
4. All the clubs reviewed in my blog were purchased by me, none of them were loaned or gifted.
5. While I often reference "JDM enthusiasts" in my blog, I've never taken any of your guys' material on this site and posted them as my own.
6. Except for a couple of occasions, I chose my own topic to blog about. Never was I asked to re-write or edit my posts.

A little background of the company, to put things in context. Mottainai Golf (a division of Mottainai World), is an online seller of used golf clubs based out of Tokyo. They partner with local golf shops and don't carry any inventory of their own. They are merely re-sellers. The word "mottainai" means "don't waste". Mottainai's company mission is to recycle used, but perfectly useable, goods (golf clubs, camera equipment, musical instruments, etc) from Japan and find new homes for them outside of Japan. To them, new goods just creates excess of goods in the world.

Ok, enough already. My blog started in May 2015 under "Ed":   www.motgolf.com/blog

I'm not sure how much longer my blog will continue, but I'm running out of topics and not really willing to purchase any more JDM equipment unless I can clear out some of my stash.

I've read most of your blog over the past couple of years Ed. Great stuff and very informative. It's a shame you aren't 'loaned' more equipment instead of you dipping in your pocket. You'll have to do a garage sale so that you can carry on with your work........

Appreciate all the kind words. Feeling good about my swing after going back to my previous instructor. Less focused on ho-ing lately.

Glad to hear.  I've never enjoyed the game like I have lately...finally learned how to swing a club...driving it 260+ and hitting 150 yard 7i's...the game is so much more fun...now just need to get the short game back sharp again...so looking fwd to he major club tournaments!
