Your favorite grip?
« on: October 22, 2017, 11:41:30 AM »
Hey guys,
Im looking to try new grips for all of my clubs - been gaming masda slick fit for over 3 years - still have some life left but wanna try something new.

Ribbed is prefered also i'd like midsize if possible else i'll just build them up.

Whats your favorite and why?

Perfect pro corded in green for my monacos is high on the list.. :)
Cadero is of interest as well

Been using the GP MCC plus 4 and MCC Plus 4 Align over the last couple of years.
They fit my hands nicely especially the thicker bottom part,  but durability is not so good.

I might go back to Iomic sticky 2.3 w/rib.

Perfect pro cord. All the traction of cord but is soft on the hands although, these days I’m playing MCC’s without any issues

Been playing PURE Pro grips on most of my clubs for a couple of years now.  I like that they are somewhat soft and have good tackiness (especially when new), and that I can install and remove them with my air compressor.  Although they can get a little slick when it gets wet.  One seller on Ebay offers all PURE grips with reminder ribs (special made for this vendor only), which I have been purchasing them from.

Not JDM but I really like the Golf Pride CP2 midsize wraps.

I was in the shop the other day and was checking out the CP2 wrap and really like it's feel, semi-firm and it has good tackiness.

I like the Pure pretty well too but yes the wet weather is major downfall for it in my mind. The CP2 I love the feel of in my hand I just wish it looked a little nicer.

I highly recommend a product called gorilla grip...looks like a nut rag...pole vaulters use them.  You wrap it on the grip and it leaves a sticky residue...it's like Lester Hayes in the stickum days....no worries on rainy days just go gloveless and use gorilla grip...

What’s special about the Cadero on the driver

its fatter and a wee bit shorter and crazy tacky.
I just love the way ti feels  and presents on a driver, tried them on  wedges , lost all finesse,  the thinker grips took away the sneakability  of irons.. but suits the driver well
