718 T-MB didnít do it for me
« on: October 15, 2017, 06:49:50 PM »
Hey fellas,

I had high hopes for the 3 and 4 iron 718 T-MB. I sold my trusty Epon 901ís to fund the purchase. Sadly for me, thereís little in it between the 718 T-MB and the i200 4 iron so at half the price, the latter is going in the bag.

When it comes to the 3 iron then the launch is lower than I expected making me wish, I had bought the 2 iron instead.

Needless to say, these will be up for sale soon hoping they can find a more deserving home.

When I was shopping for a 4 iron replacement,  I tried the 718 T-MB as well  but to my eyes  they looked rather compact to provide the forgiveness I was looking for.
Sure enough,  I was not very consistent on the simulator.

I went with the 22deg Mizuno MP-18 Fli Hi ( they call it a 4 iron )  and I am very pleased with it.
Easy to launch,  pretty good solid feel off the face for not being a one piece forged construction.
Size is not horribly big but just enough to inspire confidence at address.  Top line is not too thick either.
Quickly becoming my go to club for super narrow fairways where I can't risk any fades or draws.
