Ryoma L-1 Forged Putter - any info?
« on: October 07, 2017, 01:21:00 AM »
Hi Guys.

After some info about Ryoma putters. In particular a SwingPro Ryoma L-1 Forged.

Just picked one up and it's a beauty. Heel shafted and based on the 8802 style.

But I can find no information about it anywhere.
Even an email to Tourspec golf got a reply of "never heard of it".
I found one on ebay, and a couple other Ryomas. That's it. Google search brings up not much either.

Anyone out there able to provide any info about these putters?

TIA.

Pics to follow (hope they attach ok).

This one must predate all the Ryoma drivers with back weight.  We only aware of they started making putter(s) only a few years ago after the success of the D1 drivers.  I am not saying this is not a Ryoma putter but somehow someone would have heard about this one.

Thanks for the replies guys.

tsupo, do you mean not made by Ryoma (SwingPro)? Is there a market for knock-off Ryoma putters? Especially if no-one has heard of them making putters (or at least this one).

It is certainly beautifully made either way. I'd put it up there with any Cameron, Lajosi or Betti I've owned for craftsmanship. It is faultless.

Btw - is the Ryoma website still in current? I ask because I visited their website (www.ryomagolf.co.jp/en/) when I started this thread, sent an enquiry email and have heard nothing back. Not even a "thanks for your enquiry". Weird.
