Weekend of  golf by the sea. usually blows a treat down there but  sublime gentle conds this weekend, plays about 6800ish  off the back tees
lonnnnng par 3s.

ryoma d1 stinger driver and kamui pro tp07 diamana X 60x shaft in bag

never , ever,  driven the ball this well for 2 days,  never.
end of chat.
ryoma can draw the ball   and its a thing of absolute beauty was naling this thing like ive never nailed it before !!!!!
its my travel driver nowadays

kamui is a high ,all carry  draw  club  flight is awesome. use to for the high sloping par 4s .

ryoma  is  longer. kamui feels insane and  can work this a bit more without  a need for a 3 wood.
drove the last hole   dead straight  with the kamui , a 275 yard  par 4.  Ball  stopped back of green then  lipped out the  25 footer eagle to finish  the weekend with a bird  then half  a dozen beers on the train back to the bigsmoke

back issues finally gone.
no ill effects. putting was on.
irons were crisp and clean.

5 birds   sat ,   3 yesterday

no sore back today.

things have peeked  in Autumn

33/35,  and a 38(4 putt triple on the 2nd grrrrrr!!!)/36
68/74

drives were simply the best I have ever done  over two days, hardly missed  a beat.

GIR 15/18   14/18
FW: 14/14    13/14

That  kinda sheeeeeeet will   get me back next weekend  for sure!!!

Played a little 9 hole course in the area I cover for my job, on my lunch break....anyway, a 3 ball teed off just before me which really frustrated me as they're retired and I needed to hurry up, but to be fair they let me through on the 232yd par 3 third. Usually when I have an audience my swing goes to sh*t, but I smashed my 3i to 3 feet! Lovely little draw. Puffed my chest out, head held high as I walked past saying pleasantries to each other. One of the guys even clapped as I putted out for par (missed the birdie!). This game is great most of the time, but sometimes it's absolutely beautiful.

It's out there for you every single shot...just can't always find it..my round last Sunday was like one of disco stu's...just shorter...hit 14 fwys and struck my irons well.  Just funny stuff...couple bad bounces...2 3 putts...had a stretch where I birdied 3 of 5 w 2 tap in pars though...score was like 82or83...not so good but man those 5 holes were fun...when you're controlling your ball the game is so fun...

Sometimes the game nourishes my soul..,that happened for me this weekend.  Came at a really good time as well...was kinda down after my grandfather passed.  Mrs free has been crazy lately...early onset menopause...anyway Mrs free took our 8 year old on a cub scout camping trip...I employed the greatest automated  babysitting robot ever invented (ipad) for my 12 year old and headed to the course...

Friday game is a big boy game...blues only $30 buy-in...blind draw best ball partner, net and skins...I won net, the best ball and 2 skins...can't even remember the round other then I remember getting to some places I'd never seen on a cold windy day...the Saturday game is for the sandbaggers...a net game...skins, $20 buy-in...free went a little overboard but still somehow managed to come in 2nd and pull down another skin...don't really remember much from then on.....a lot of 12 year single malt in honor of John Morrison...

I do remember today's game...the Sunday game is THE big boy game...$10 buy-in gross skins blues only...only shot an 80 but was one of the better rounds I've played...didn't make much and was searching for it the first few holes but found it on 3 and had nothing but tap in pars and a couple birdies...everyone got cut so I split the pot and also won my Nassau...

All in all I had a great time and left the course with a huge wad of cash and a warm feeling from all the scotch...I felt free all weekend...mrs free is home now and my anxiety is back...go figure...not feeling very free anymore...

It pains me to see how many of you have struggled with time off, aging, kids, angry wives, substance abuse, mania, and living in Europe.

I guess for me golf is kinda like riding a bike. Had a rotator cuff and had to take a good 6 months off last year. Spent a lot of time in the Med on Mark Cubans yacht. To be honest I donít remember a whole lot of it. They had me on these painkillers and Mark well Mark likes to party.

But once the doctor cleared me I hit a bucket on a rainy Tuesday to shake the rust off. Went out Thursday after my PT session and played Bel Air from the tips.  Started off a little sloppy with 8 straight pars but finally got my shit together and carded a 67.

Now before anyone calls BS I was playing with Steph Curry and he signed my card (hole in 1) despite the fact I kicked his ass for like the 17th time in the past 3 years. Heís always like ďI always play like trash when Iím with youĒ but what it really boils down to isómuch like Patrick ReedóI have that effect on everyone I play with.

ANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNND  that's a wrap for the year!!!!!

DAMN these  things are getting  quicker.

Finale at one of our  ubercourses, its  like hitting balls in a garden.
such a nice way to finish off the season.

not bad score wise. but  not fluent.  scrambled like a tiger.......
38/36

GIR 6/9 + 7/9
FW  5/7 + 6/7

iron  and short game was alive, chipped to tap in about 4  times, driving was errant but not  bad, nothing went  OB, the   worst was   deep rough punch out  a cpl of time  from the  second cut.
only one bird  on a par 5   and  3 bogies,   frustrating  putting , was  not making any but leaving them on cup.

im not sure is that good or bad ??

season was a mix of 2  parts ,  till sept  it was a disaster , was injured a lot worse than I thought  and played shiiiittttteeeeee   , distance was shot  and my back was sore as hell  so much so   my home  hcap slipped form 4 to 8+  over  about 12 games .
stopped for about a month   and  the rehab  work kicked in  big time and the  last 1/3 of the year  I played as good as  ive ever played , finished with most under par years ever ( 4)  equal best score (68) , 2 eagles in 1  round  on the par 5s , hit the green  like a friiikennn lazurrrrr    and  stoped insdie 10 feet twice . booyahhh!!
over the last 3 months  FINALLY   had some consistent putting to add a score to decent  striking.
Happy to call it a  GOOD end to a mixed  season.  Maybe the odd  game here or there  over the next 4 months  but its  basically range time for me  from now on, and  equipment  tweeking    for next season,  not really sure if anything will get a look in besides the new HONMA  tw-w wedges I look ever yweek and nothing what s  ever has peeked my eye.. zilch

but who knows,
one thing for sure tho:

it wont have  TM  written on it   EVER ............ ,

no matter how  much they offer  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ciaooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Stew, those are awesome pics, esp the one with Fuji-san in the background.  Nice finish to your season, congrats.  Personally, my season was pretty disappointing but my last couple of rounds showed some promise going into next season, as my iron play improved with the 2011 OnOff's with the Roddio I-10's.  Looks like irons with steel shafts and smaller heads are in the rear view mirror at this point.

Not sure what my golfing goals are for next season.  With the amount of time I have for practice, I think lessons are not going to have much ROI.  Maybe just "have fun" ???

Days like today are why I will play the game till Iím down for the count...started out like itís been...hit the first 4 greens and 3 putted...then something kinda happened...I started putting with my feet and making them or grazing lips....really only hit 2 poor shots all round...only shot an 80 but the course played tough...controlled my golf ball coming home, played the last 6 holes in -2...lots of presses today...won a big wad o cash...
