If your combo is working,  I wouldn't worry about it too much about the swing weight.

its working. just wondering why his was able to go down to D3.5 we have the same weighted heads and his combo is .25" longer than mine

Finally tried the G400... regular head I think... tried in with the stock R, then Stock SR and then Evo IV Stiff. Stock R and stock SR was with a 10* head.  Then Stock SR and Evo with a 9* head...

First off, I must say feel and sound was.... excellent.  The stock shaft felt very good but a td soft, was over drawing both.  Evo Stiff was the straightest and I think Stock Stiff or Evo Iv Sr would be best for me in a 9* head.  Rep tells me this is a Fuji Evo IV made for Ping and hence not the same as after market Evo IV?  True?

This is a carry monster.  The 9* head is best for me but I can also hit that higher than normal. 10* was way high. As I started, monster carry but little roll.  Overall distance will be slightly longer for my current stash but I can see how this will be good for year end rainy season when courses are soggy.  Didn't try the LS of other heads. Maybe I should.

Got me thinking about Ping again but will stick with Ping supplied shafts this time round fi I do go ahead with it.

LST head is not a demanding head at all. I really suggest you try it.

I honestly still can’t believe I have a Ping driver in my bag, but it really is outstanding.

Have gamed all settings of both 9 and 10.5 versions
The 9 cranked to big + had the best results for me with a seeminglyclosed face.
I am getting the distance and carry although I wish the trajectory were higher.
It’s the very reason why I tried the normal G in 10.5. Was hooking the the thing.

Going to test this out vs DOA 10.5 driver next month.

I actually quite enjoy the „Bat Mobil“ look of it. But you can clearly see that the finish is not on par with JDM offerings.

Mine is a very early LST model and the finish is pretty crappy really.

Weather was nice this weekend and got out and walked nine yesterday afternoon. Was 50 and windy but felt like spring after the crap we’ve been dealing with. Hit this driver really well and played great.

Highlight of the 9 was my partner skulling his tee shot on a par 3 over the lake, it skipped 7 times off the ice, once off the water near shore, hit the rocks, and ended up a couple feet off the green. Then he almost chipped in for what would have been the most counterfeit birdie of all time. Made his par putt.

The G400 LST is a solid performer. Would still have it in the bag if it wasn't for the Epic SZ.

I envy your dry grass.
I can relate to the bounces off icy ponds.   Been there, done that in Montana.
Dog leg right 420 yard par 4 .... skip it diagonally across the pond it's like 300 yards.
The first bounce is like 40 yards it's amusing to watch!

So is it usually golfable in Illinois in January?   That's pretty rare isn't it?
