Gapping between Grindworks irons and wedges - what to do?
« on: May 15, 2017, 06:20:44 AM »
I have a set of Grindworks wedges, 50/56/60 http://en.grindworks.jp/products/grindworks-forged-tungsten-wedge/. I have a set of irons on their way that have lofts of
5i,24/6i,27/7i,30/8i,34/9i,38/pw,43/aw,48 http://en.grindworks.jp/products/grindworks-forged-dual-pocket-iron/

So, do I lower the 56 to 55, the 50 to 49, leave out the aw all together and raise the pw to 44, 9i to 39 or........raise the pw to 44 and the aw to 49 and leave out the 50 altogether.

Depends what or how you use the 50... full shots it won't matter but for the Delicate flick(?) I'd prefer the Gap....
If your not part of the Solution , then your part of the Problem!!

I find the Grindwork DP AW gap wedge is one of the best.  It kicks my Epon Tour 50* out of the bag and now play PW, AW, 54 (Epon tour) and 58 SW.  While theee is 6* difference between gap and 54, so far I have no major issue with them. I guess on can always bend a 52 or 54 but so far I don't see the need.

Ok thanks guys, I'll give the AW a shot in the bag first. Might bend the 56 stronger but we'll see.
