I like this FT-iz. The stock Aldila holds up quite well. Nice high flight with surprisingly good feel, better than a sub zero or the BB Alpha anyway. Not as good as my ts905, but good for a usdm

I'm impatiently waiting for the epic sub zero that's coming out in February. With the weight in the back it has even higher MOI than the fusion, a nicer shape and gave me spin numbers like the M1... what more can I ask for?
Epon AF-153 - Diamana B
Yamaha Inpres X V 14° - Attas 3

Callaway MD3 black 50° + 56° - Modus 125 Wedge
Callaway PM Grind black 60° - Modus 125 Wedge

Definitely waiting for the Epic too here. I hear it shares a similar design of two bars within the crown connecting the face to the rear like the Titleist 917. Has anyone tried that please?

Hit it with shafts that didn't fit. Didn't feel anything special. My builder builds Charley Hull's 917 driver/woods and she smashed them!

I may be wrong but it seems US drivers push the envelope and outperform JDM drivers, on the whole. Maybe I'm equating gimmicks with pushing the envelope but curious to hear what you guys think. Seems it goes - irons - japan fore sure, woods - US.

Thoughts?

I'll be able to do a comparison next week with an M1 and a ZY-11 with the same shaft.

The Callaway epic has two bars connecting the sole and the crown directly behind the face. That's supposed to give more ballspeed and for me the epic really produced quite a lot.

The Titleist 917 doesn't have anything similar. In fact no driver (afaik) did have that since some really old Zevo.

Yes, hit the Epic and the Epic Sub Zero.
Just were able to hit the stock shafts, though.
