Just bought a couple of items form Yahoo Japan.  Great prices, partly why i bought.

Anyone selling Epon is (now) getting it somewhere else besides TSG

I think the bottom line is there are plenty of places to buy other than tsg. For the same or even less,
especially if we pool together these sites.

Just have to try not to outbid each other.....  :)

I've never Used TSG for my Epon Gear!!

Watched a set of 2013 5-PW Yamaha Tours go "buy it now" for $900 on Yahoo Japan about a week a go.

Should have bought them....

Bought the RomaRo 460HX new in wrapper for $360. Total fee's and shipping was $406

The deals for new eq are out there.

I should look into that, some serious deals!

anybody living in japan?
For second hand, would be great to have somenone to collect there nationally and ship to other member in the rest of the world vs a fee.
best way to beat TSG IMHO.
we need to build a kind of international exchange platform  :P

We all know who lives in Japan.

I'll be playing Golf with him 5-2 thru 5-10.  Already told him to be open to some ideas......

He's so busy trying to figure how, how many and what clubs to bring he's officially not sleeping right now.

I know there's a way for ALL of us to benefit from pooling ourselves together rather than having greed
lead us.  Need to share, keep sharing info regarding purchasing houses. auctions etc. Pass along specials,
good deals when we see them.

In the WTB - If one of has the item to sell or know where there is one, it can be posted rather than censored.

Say hello to Disco for me.

On the front of acquiring equipment via someone local, that could be a full time job for someone. Everyone at a different address, running stuff down, dealing with shipping and customs, etc...  That is a big ask.

There is a lot of potential but again, it would really take a man on the inside, and it would be a potential full time gig once it got up and running.  Yahoo and Rakuten is a good stopgap for now.  There is very little that can't be found there for a decent price.  Shipping can be a little slow, and fees a little high, so there is still room for improvement, but it isn't bad for now.

I am wondering if we couldn't form some kind of a buying group and then lobby one of the 3rd party brokerage services (jauce/rinkya) to provide us with reduced fees and shipping rates in exchange for our volume of business.

I know there's a way...  just need to get my mind out of the "I'm retired" mode.

Personally, even though a person could make some money, I'd like to try and make something happen just for the sake
of it happening.  Pass on the savings to everyone so we can all ho more.  I can pay for my trips to Africa already, don't
need to gouge and then brag about it....

Some good things are going to happen for all of us JDM fans. This forum is proof and we're off to a good start.

This sounds like a great plan for this community,  like Matt was saying..maybe we can all pitch in and buy a huge inventory and make a deal with one of the Japanese auction site's.

Can you buy your own Maserati too or will you need to become unretired to work that into the budget?   :P

I am sure the answer will come.  I am willing to work towards something as well.  May just not be today...played a little too hard this weekend.   :(
