Nice review there A! I thought that Roddio I-X is the most superior graphite shaft in the market today. I couldn't ask more when I paired this with Epon 302s but it looks like Bangvoo is even better hey.  I have OTi in the Honma DIs 3&4 and thought that they are that good but I put Roddios on top because of better feel.
I'm wanting to try the Bangvoos but how does it feel? For me, I prefer a glassy cracking sound/feel just like the Crazy UT in  the Epon 901. Is the Bangvoo similar to this?
.

If it's a glassier feel and we have the same definition of that then yes.  As I suggested to H, get a single 5I shaft to try first.

Great write up art, I agree on graphite, I haven't really looked back since I went down the path several years ago...will try some Steele next week though...

Here are my preferences out of what I've tried:
Roddio i10
Roddio i9
Attas 10s
Crazy black iron
Recoil 110 proto
Aerotech i95
GD 95
Recoil 95

May have to give the bangvoo premiums a whirl....I guess I'll see how the OTs go and start looking on yaj for the bvp....

H,

Just get the 5I to try first.

Does anyone play(ed) the FEX WBQ iron shaft?  Appreciate it if you can chime in.  I think they'll look snazzy in the Metal Factory heads.

Has anyone played the Quadra 4AX SOF 100i 's in Stiff?  Thoughts compared to Roddio 's?

Oooo me me me me.........

I had the Quadra 100i stiff with Yamaha 2011 Tour model and again but tipped 1/2" with Yamaha 2010 Tour model. I had the Roddio i10 SX with S-Yard GT-S.

Quadra has a higher ball-flight, more distance and slightly better (softer)feel. Roddio was lower and slightly tighter with dispersion.

I would recommend both easily.

Thanks Ian.  I just pulled the trigger on a brand new set of the 100i 's for cheap.  Now I have to figure out what heads to pair them up with…  :)

May not be the same but would be quite similar. I play at set of Quadra DGL 115S (prototypes) in a set of Epon 303's and
a set of Roddio I-10's in a set of P2"s.

I find them quite similar.  With the heads being different they would not perform the same but I'm not sure I could tell you
which one works better for me as they are both 10's in my book.

IF... I had to choose between the two it would probably be the Quadra as they seem to feel more "one" with the heads
and the fact that I made my first ever hole in one with the 303/quadra 5 iron.....  kinda sets them a notch above.  :)

Just read that the fex wbq iron shaft plays about 50+ cpm more in the same flex than the quadra x52i series... Damn!  That's a lot!

Perhaps we can get Stew to repost his artwork and add a few new drawrings...
