To pricey, they double tee most Saturday mornings...usually not on Sunday's...but then there's the Sunday afternoon crowd and after a 3 hour morning round it'd be 4&1/2 hour, 4&1/2 hour and 3 hour round..,I've done it a couple times but never walking...have to be in some kinda shape to make 4 &1/2 loops on foot...in a cart I've gotten around 5 times before..,that's a lot of fun!

Sounds like a GREAT idea.  I think it's only right to have it in Japan, but will be VERY costly for most.  Unless I can tack this onto a business trip, there's no way I can join.  Photos (embarrassing ones too - maybe faces blurred) are a MUST to post!

Dirty p, you ever play San Juan oaks?  When I lived in San Jose I hit poppy hills early and San Juan Oaks on the way back 2 Saturdays a month...really miss that course!

San Juan Oaks is one of my local favorites (1 hour drive for me), club tournament next week there!  Have a Fred Couples (designed the course) autographed yardage book when I met him at a tech show a long time ago (he was promoting some data mining website at the time).

Haven't played Poppy Hills since the renovation, but MANY times before that.

Ah riiyyytttee club howzers, this thing is happening.  Rhoudy and I worked it out, it's either going to be his home track in late summer or mine in early winter.  Vice versa didn't seem like a prudent move (only member voting for that option was squirts but his veto was overthrown by the council)....

Could be both places if enough commit...give me a poll of who is in so I can work out the financing....anyone got a more worthy 501(c)(3) than the free scholarship fund (which provides scholarship opportunities to aspiring colegate athletes) post it up and committed members can vote.

Sgt Squirts will preside as chef official and reigning authority over all.

Only member with 100 posts or more who's not invited is major d.

For the record, I am riding as Im to feeble to walk that far...

I haven't been following this thread, I'll start...... but whatever gets worked out I'm in. Doesn't really matter
when or where to me.

Just need at least 2-3 weeks notice, month preferably.

Late October on a weekday is doable on my course.  Otherwise they want average revenue for the day to shut down the course and that's a lot of hoing....

I just played SJ Oaks last week. Hadn't played there in quite a while. A bit of a drive from where I live - about an hour but it was $42 so can't beat that! A couple holes on the back that always get me.

PH reno makes it play different. No rough and since the greens are all new they're firm and faaaaaaast as hell. Land middle of the green and you're off the back. You must land short and let it run up and you'll be perfect.

So I literally cannot get the tards at my course to respond regarding pricing for the 100HH...I've escalated to the north fla gm for bcg...idk...maybe they're scared...

North FLA would be a great early winter venue for this event though...the rubes down here will come out and play during the dead of summer when it's 97 with 120 heat index and play at a snails pace with the course jammed up...then in the winter when it's 50 the courses get half the volume...I don't understand it...I feel like more of a foreigner sometimes in Florida than on some of my extended trips to Asia quite frankly..

In any case, I'm still excited for this event!
