Real deal this thing!!  Best model yet from Grandista!!

Hit it last night against my other very capable drivers.

- Modart MA01D+R / Seven Dreamers
- Crazy 435 Black / Diamond Speeder
- Ping G20 Black / Tour AD TP-6

Grandista / AAA '15 Combo has the edge with club head speed and initial ball velocity and naturally, distance.

Will spend more time later today.

as i mentioned to you, everything i have read on the blogs, everyone was waiting in anticipation for it when they got their demo heads in, and upon initial findings, just what a winner it was, just flat out an all around performer!

Really nice Nob.  Can you measure the face height when you have some time and compare to the RS-001 pls.

RS-D is 52mm face height

RS-001 was really good,  but for me,  not as forgiving as I would like.
LS-001 was forgiving but sound was horrible.
RS-D looks more in line with the overall shape of the LS-001 but more compact and not as shallow.

The shape at address reminds me very much of the Yammy Inpres X 4.6V R.P.M   but much much more forgiving.

I'd say forgiveness is pretty good.   possibly as forgiving as any 460cc JDM driver.
but this is slightly smaller.

Thanks Nob.  Was thinking of picking one up ads I'm a Grandista fan but 52mm is a bit more shallow than I would like.

I'm a shallow face guy...don't understand the deep face  guys...I miss it high and low plenty but for some reason, shallow just works so much better for me...

Anyone know what the highest loft available for this head?

They have 9 deg and 10 deg models.  I get plenty of height with my 9 deg.

I'm playing 11* right now with a fairly high launching shaft and have a mid trajectory...hesitate to go too low with loft as I'm hitting the AVX miles...problem is it's a very low spin ball off the driver.  I guess I could try 10* and pair it with a high launch high spin shaft and the prov1...might be something that could challenge the 155...???

They may be able to hand pick a 10.5 or even a 11 deg....

Just hit some more at the range....  this head is actually really forgiving!
off center hits still go pretty long with very little compromise on directional accuracy.

Will put this in play next weekend for my mens' club outing.

how does it comes with G400 given that both the heads are smaller in size. Are they similar forgiveness?

was actually thinking the G400 plays similar to this Grandista.
I let go of my G400 a while ago , so I can only go by memory,
But Id say trajectory is lower with the Grandista.  G400 9 deg for me went quite high.
Grandista looks much cleaner at address without all the techy crown structure and stuff.
Forgiveness wise Im feeling pretty good about the Grandista but generally speaking Im willing to bet that the G400 is still more forgiving....  Might be a good side by side comparison to do....

Picked up a few things to wrap up the early season shuffle.

Grandista 3W / TRPX Redhot Type K
Bridgestone X Hi driving iron 20 deg / KBS graphite
A box of Titleist AVX balls

Tried the 3W and driving iron yesterday.
Both really good,   TRPX shaft goes higher than what I prefer but it is easy to hit straight for sure.
The driving iron feels really good.   Better than the Mizuno Fli Hi and gobs more forgiving.

Been trying the Titleist Tour Soft lately and have been impressed by the distance performance.
Just lacked a bit of stopping power on approach shots.  Hopefully these AVX will provide that while also delivering similar distances to Tour Soft.

I predict you will be pleasantly surprised by the AVX.  I like to think I have a sense of your swing from playing some of your gear...it is very low spin off the driver, similar to v1x around the green, similar to v1 on approaches.  Basically a prov1 with slightly lower compression but 4 layer magic somehow producing minimal spin with driver.  I find these longer off driver than anything, especially if it's firm and fast...I do not have very fast clubhead speed...high 90s, sneaking past 100 quite a bit these days but hit a couple middle low that ran out to 275 today...

What's the flex on that tprx 3w shaft?  May swap with you if u want, have a few nice 3w shafts that might fit you: basi Fiamma 75s, Roddio w7ba/wa, Roddio F7s...some other more whippy decent ones...lmk if she no worky worky...

Thanks Harry.    Yeah looking forward to play the AVX this weekend.

As for the TRPX Type K shaft,   I am pleasantly surprised at how straight it goes.   I might play a couple of rounds to see how it plays.
it's whippy but it's also stable.    getting 20 yards more than my normal 3 wood....  not sure if that is good or bad....  since it's getting awfully close to driver distance.

I'll let you know if I decide to let it go.   It is a 3 star flex ....  should be Stiff on the dot.
