Yes, it is DAT55G Cup face. Its a pretty balanced head imo. Not super low spin.

Put a Cally tip on my new Tensei Pro Orange 60S to try it on my Epic SZ. Short build under 45". Very excited.

Went to the range to have a few hits with the Driver and the Tensei Pro Orange shaft. Wow I am impressed with the shaft. Never really got along with Mitsubishi shafts but this one... completely different. It feels fantastic. Super smooth. At the same time it feels and plays super tight. Hard to describe. Super tight with feel.
Oh and it also makes the Epic SZ head feel a bit more lively and explosive for the ones that didnt like the mute sound and feel.
This will be my combo for a long time, I hope ;)

I got my Baldo 568 460cc / AAA 2015 combo from Japan today.
The head shape was not bad.   semi-shallow ...   but somewhat Jbeam like.
very forgiving and good distance.   10deg head is a bit high for me.
Feel and sound was better than expected for a DAT55G face.. but still had that crispy kind of sound and not as soft at impact compared to SP700.
just not for me.

As for the shaft, it's such a stable shaft it never goes wild on me no matter what I do.... at least with my swing speed.
I'd want to pair it up with a super forgiving head like a Ping G400 Max to build the ultimate fairway finder.
Matte black and copper matches perfectly with the Ping G400 theme too!!

Told you the Baldo is a decent head.

After convincing myself I really don't need a new driver right now,   I went to look around for another putter that I could try.
Last last year I picked up a Miura MGP-NM2 which is a smaller mallet exactly shaped like a Scotty Red X putter.
Though I putt decently with it, I wanted to try something bigger.
So last weekend,  while I was watching the Olympic opening ceremony + a few glasses of bourbon,   I ended up picking up another Miura putter.

This one is bigger and shaped similar to an Odyssey 7 but probably more similar to Scotty Futura X5 and the likes.  ( i.e. fang shaped mallet )

Still waiting for the Garsen grip to be delivered so I will provide feedback once the set up is complete.    Just pics for now.  sorry for the low light..  It is very cloudy today in Washington.

On my off days these mallets help me align better.  Used the Odyssey 7 shape for a long time.   I wish theyd make a more premium solid milled in that shape.   For now this maybe the closest short of having to do a full custom shape thru Benock!!

Check out the Toulon Portland

Ive been tempted to try a Toulon, supposed to really have a uniquely good feel and sound to them. Just cant decide which to try. Some of the older releases are on Callaway preowned in like new condition for pretty good prices but Im kinda partial to the Atlanta and Portland which are new

Ok I just hit the bullet on the course about 10-15 times.  This thing is legit.  More testing to come but I think this ones going to stick around for a while. Just going to get rid of the yellow paintfill.
