Id give up urethane balls before Id give up my sky caddie!

I've been using a Sky Caddie for 8 years. SG5. Never done anything but renew it and finally put a new battery in it last year.  Comes up for renewal in a couple of weeks  and can't decide to renew it or not.  I have a rangefinder that I prefer over the caddie. Kinda senseless to have both.... I like the rangefinder better as I can't always tell where the pin is on the green but with the range finder you get exact distance rather than guessing where to set the curser for yardage with the SC.

I see advantages for both. I play a lot of older parkland style courses with relatively small greens. Its hard to shoot a pin through the trees from a borrowed fairway, and Im not good enough to need to dial it in within a couple yards. Plus I like just glancing down and getting a number rather than picking it up and shooting the pin and putting it back down.

On the other hand if I played big open courses with large, tiered undulating greens, I could definitely see the added value of the range finder.

Nippon replaced the SPB with the Modus 125.  They have the same bend profile.  The difference is that the 125 weighs roughly five grams less and is a smidge stiffer.

Have you tried the Modus 125?

This will fully rust shortly.  I'm in a very humid climate.

Loving my Modart D+R with the El Dorado SR shaft (255 CPMs). Perhaps my new favorite shaft. Very stable.
Liked the Epic best with the Tour AD DJ-6 shaft but still can't quite get used to the sound.... Have a Basileus Delta to try on something and a Crazy LS 7.4 which I will probably part with since I have too many shafts now (kept all my Evo IIs etc.).
The DPT-02 is working like magic so my Cure putter is retired for the time being.

For those struggle with driver FW off the tee and with slower swing speed, this is the club for you.  After 3 games with this FW, I am sold with the mini driver.  It is not deep face like Carlo"s Kasco but full titanium and still made in Japan (2015 the last year for true JDM).  I am using this 13* off the tee for those long par 3s at my club.  Katana was a big premium brand of JDM back then but now leaning more towards the senior and lady market.  I would definitely consider their driver next.
