I'm sure Epon started out making pots and pans (saw a post with some leaflets etc awhile a go on TSG). Get ready for some forged versus cast debates regarding the quaility of boiled potatoes. ;)

They might retain more nutrients but using cast pans allows for the natural flavors of the food to be retained during the cooking process. That allows for less salt to be added. Plus you factor in the sparsity of nutrients in today's GM foods, I'll take flavor rich food of a cast pan and a vitamin supplement anyway.

It's a proven fact that not even the best chefs can tell any difference between cast and forged cookware. If I gave you two identical skillets, on cast and one forged, and asked you to fry an omelette on each, you wouldn't be able to distinguish between the two.

Sure you can make statements like that but show me one double blind study that proves it. I can call up a myriad of research documenting the increased percentages of flavonoids in foods prepared in cast pans vs forged. Just can't get it to you right now as my web connection is down.

But when using a cast pan.... all I have to do is picture the omelette and it cooks the omelette. ..
If your not part of the Solution , then your part of the Problem!!
