Title: Roddio
Post by: MBBG on January 01, 2020, 12:29:35 PM
Thinking of finally dipping my toe in the Roddio club waters, but I did not realize how expensive they are. I built up a hybrid the way I wanted and it was like $800 shipped!

Thereís very little on Yaj and even the used ones are ~$400 and would likely need the shaft changed once I got it.

Those of you using them or have used them got any good outlets to get a little discount?

Probably in your bed, squirts 🙄

Anyways the one I want is the current model in black IP with the Roddio Stella 9SX shaft and potentially the baffler ďRĒ sole plate

Also, where are you ordering from?  Iíve used one2one shop quite a bit, they worked with me...

Unlike PXG, I think roddio is worth it...the cbs are calling me now...as for the fwys and hybrids....the feel is addictive...I just havenít wanted to play anything else the past 4 years...still working to find a roddio driver...

Will do...Mine are mostly r-sole....only bit differences are the shafts...I play the lunar 7 but have several that are lunar 8...one thatís a Stella 8...just too meaty...for someone with a compact swing and quick tempo, the 18 hyute r-sole, lunar 8 would be perfect...have a 23* with the flat sole with a Stella 8 thatís too meaty as well...lunar is more dense feeling, Stella more electric, crisper...ball flights are similar between the shafts imo but both shafts Iíd put up there with the best aftermarket ut shafts Iíve played...I played the nunchuck shaft u had in old faithful...itís sublime...Iím surprised the Stella and lunar havenít gotten much fanfare from the higher swing speed players...u match the flex, the go...

I think at least for me itís so hit or miss on the JDM shafts and some of the equipment is just so expensive. Couple that with limited resale market in the states and itís been hard to justify since the kiddos came along.

Looking for something to bridge the gap between my 16.5* 4 wood and 22* 4 iron HMB. So 18-20 depending on launch characteristics and playing length etc.

Also I played a 106g Hybrid shaft (yes the Nunchuk) for years and have an 80g shaft in 4 wood so 80-90g range is where Iím looking to be as it seems all my experiments with lighter shafts have been abysmal failures and my 4 iron on the other side of it goes to a 113g shaft.

Free, it looks like all you need is the Roddio putter and you'll have a single brand bag...

Shafted up the Roddio U2 and U3 with the Stella 9 and Lunar 9, respectively.  Felt great.  The Lunar feels more meaty and has a lower trajectory than the Stella to me.  Could just be how I feel the kick points in swing driving the meatiness difference between shafts.

Will hopefully get more game time with them over the coming week.  Sadly, tomorrow is supposed to be a wash out and expecting frost over the weekend.  Crazy weather this spring.
