Title: JDM Wedges
Post by: MBBG on December 01, 2019, 09:21:57 PM
Played the 2015 Forged Vokeys for so long Iím kind of jonesing for some JDM goodness. I know some have suggested Orion and others. The regenisis crazy 52/58 set looks really good although Iíd be swapping out a 50/55/60 setup for a 52/58. I want them to be soft of course with versatile grinds with adequate leading edge relief as Iím a bit of a digger. The Farkís Seven ST wedges look the part but well...and theyíre quite expensive.

Try the Orions.. can be had cheaply.

If you wantvdome raw Modart which are soft as well and versatile sole grinds, look in my bst.

I can't find it too lol.  Will snap a pic later.  Can't even recall what I have but I have quite a few wedge heads lying around.

I know it sounds like a broken record but the Orion wedges are really good. They are soft but not epon mushy soft. They have a very dense feel. Good killed leading edge.

Still play a full 46/50/54/60 set.  Yeah.. I think one of the best kept secrets in JDM wedges.  I actully find the raw a tad softer feeling then the plated cpper underlay but only just.

The bold was a favorite of many but for me, somehow the balance seemed off.  Has a nice look to it though.

I struggled with the Bold's.  Rarely sell wedges even if I don't play them.  Sold them after a couple of rounds...

Pulled out the original Chikira's a few weeks ago.  Probably the best wedges everyone has forgotten about.
