I'm 6ft tall, model looks, swing speed of 120mph and was known as 'tripod' at school......surely that's average, right?

I think Stew was on about shafts that we class as average or 'cheap' compared to all the latest high end shafts that we see these days, i.e. the Diamana Kai'li' for about £40 used of eBay compared to The Diamana which is new this year at over £440 without shipping and tax......

Ok my mistake.  So I guess he meant cheap(er) shaft.  Normally I am not a fan of Attas driver shafts but got a Attas Cool on a whim. Surprising it is very stable since its a bit tip stiff.  The price on Rak is certainly attractive.

For a fairway shaft, the Muso XDB 65 S plays as good as any for me.   Didn't do much on my driver though.  I see the other site has them new for $55.   Many average players fall in the range between R and S flex.  In the US, many shafts were made without SR flex available.

I'd say something from the diamana, gd or Fujikura. Whixh is self dependent.

Fuji Speeder Evo2 was great. Never got along with the Diamana Range for some reason.
If we are talking also iron shafts then NS Pro 950GH has to be mentioned. Very underrated for average SS.

For a long time when I just picked the game back 9 years ago,  ProForce V2 was my goto shaft for a while.   Now thatís Average Joe!!  It was a good shaft though.... then I started on Diamana, Crazy,
Fire Express. And the rest is history...

Oh the first gen Miyazaki Kusala Black was an awesome shaft that Iíd happily play now...

Everything not 7D or AAA is average joe, right?
I've never hit a 7D and only have the 2013 AAA Pro Spec.  Have not tried other versions of AAA.

For me, these shafts seem to work better:
- Fire Express WBQ Max 75
- TRPX X-Line Concept  (btw, didn't like Messenger 1st)
- Diamana WB's ('ahina, D+, W)
- Kuro Kage Silver TiNi
- Oban Devotion 6

For some reason, Fuji's and Tour AD's don't seem to work for me.
I love Roddio iron shafts, but not their driver shafts.

I don't think fex are average Joe.  Agree on Roddio.. Love the iron shafts and had little success with the wood shafts.
