Driver - head staying but I'm definitely changing the shaft for a Kuro Kage Proto.

FW - head staying but I might change the shaft. I have a Blueboard 83x waiting in the wings.

DI - might change it for an Epon 901 or go back to a 7w. If not then I'll change the shaft for a Rombax 115i x I have lying around.

Irons - heads staying but I might change the shafts for some graphite or spb. Longer irons tend to fade so I might look at changing them for something with a little more offset. We'll see.

Wedges - not to much wrong with these. Staying as they are for now.

Putter - no real reason to change this, as I do like the counter balanced weight, but I do like the look of those Lowtide putters.

Thanks Dale.

As a side note, this is definitely the least expensive bag I've put together. Dread to think what these would have cost brand new. Well saying that I bought the putter brand new. Lol.

Man!!! Those US Blades.. every time I see them I wish I could play blades consistently enough...

And that DB wedge.. had a set of them.. very nice feel and spin!

Great bag Ian!

I've thought about doing this A, but had read that the CB is just as unforgiving. If I did go down this route then I think it'd be the MR-23 CB with the diamond shape in the cavity.

How often do you play Ian ?

Not very often. Since April this year it's probably down to 1 round a month. To keep my eye in I practice at a range or on a few of holes at my local course once or twice a week. The pictures above were taken on the 1st hole of 5 I practiced on yesterday. The management there let me play 5 holes for £10, but i try and do the loop twice when I can :)

I would like to try a Ryoma V-spec.
Change the iron/wedge shafts to Attas Tour or Diamana Thump.
Please please can everyone ask Dale to sell me his Epon Bag  :D

Ian, this bag is awesome!  Best one I've seen!  I love how it's player but playable!  A mix of classic and modern epon...very cool bro!

Pretty neat bag you got there Ian. Kinda of real man's clubs. Makes my bag looks like a girls bag (hopefully nobody gets offended by that) with all that GI gear.

Thanks guys. The af tours are a 'little' more forgiving than the us blades I had.
This bag may scream 'player' but they're used by an incompetent idiot! Hahahaha. For the amount of golf I play maybe I should try something more GI, but I just love the looks of the player stuff.

You need 2 bags...1 player 1 GI...that way you're covered when you have it going on and when you're not...get dale to trade me for his p2's and Scotty....I'll make sure he gets u that epon banana bag...

Here's the set-up I played at the weekend and shot two lots of 82 testing the jBEAM against the Srixon.
I sold some AF Tours to get something a little more forgiving. These mizunos are NOT it. They are, if anything, a little smaller heel to toe.
Changes to be made:
I have a jBEAM 5w on its way to compete with the Kamui. I have Attas Tour 120 shafts on their way for testing with the Golds wedges. If these work out then I'll look at getting the Attas Tour 110 for the irons, but I'll want some 'JDM' irons for those shafts! Things that will stay (for the time being anyway); driver/9w/wedges/putter.

Best wedges I've tried so far and I put this down to their weight. Probably the heaviest I've ever gamed. No idea of the head weight but the shafts are NS Pro 125. I played practically 36 holes on Sunday and if my old memory serves me correctly I hit two thin shots and two fat shots. For me that is unprecedented. I've never managed any of the cool looking backspin you see the pro's hit, with ANY wedges I've gamed, and that includes these, but it was the lack of bad shots that surprised me, obviously in a good way. And with this comes confidence over the ball from 125 yards and in. Trust my swing, commit to the shot and bang the ball's on the green. I never try to be tooo clever in my wedge play. I don't go in for all this 'open the face' malarky, so I can't go in to the finer details of wedges. I do love the way they look though. My only gripe with them is that they're not as soft off the face as I'd hoped they'd be, which is why I have the Attas graphite shafts on their way for testing. Softest I've tried was a copper Epon 208 or the raw RC Dent Backs.

Thanks.. Epon wedges I find too soft. Dent backs are nice and solid, not as soft fur me as the epons. I thought your golds had copper underlay?

Updated

jBEAM out and Yamaha in.
Mizuno's out and OnOff's in.

Possible changes:
OnOff 2013 50* AW with Steelfiber.
54/58 Fourteen RM with Steelfiber.
OnOff 21* hybrid (either OnOff 2013 Type s or OnOff 2011 Prospec) with Steelfiber hybrid.
I might put a Stinger 70s, Kai'li 60x or Kuro Kage Proto in the Yamaha, or find another Bangvoo 787..........

In my Humble I think the Onoffs are better than the Epon ...

There's something that just works in the Onoffs..

After a 1 range session, I don't think the 6i is as soft feeling as the OnOff 2013 forged/Steelfiber i95 s or the Yanaha 2011 Tours/Quadra 100i s. It's closer to the S-Yard GT Type-S/Roddio i10sx. Not a bad thing but.......lets wait until I hit Srixon soft feel balls with the rest of the set.

Good looking bag, Ian? How is that Bridgestone driver?

Very nice so far. Softer feeling than i was expecting, feels springy if you know what I mean, with a nice soft 'ting' sound. Only had a few range sessions and 9 holes so early days. Got a set of weights coming in and a different shaft for some experimenting - which I love doing :)

Very nice bag of Clubs Sir

Thanks gents. One of our forum members helped me out with the Mystery, and I'll seek another's help for another Mystery. Very Mysterious....

Hopefully I can do it some justice on the course.

Bold wedges look good.
Considered several times getting them ... See them in the sales section of shops and the prices make them really tempting

Good luck with the Mistery rescue

I honestly think I'd get away with 10 clubs but .....

I could easily just take just 7 clubs with me at this 9 hole course. Obviously the more you play a certain course then you get to know what you can hit of each tee to leave you with x yards left in. When I play it next I'll take driver/5w/6i/8i/PW/SW/putter and see how that goes.

Earlier this year I walked 9 with friends at lunch and it was super hot so I just played Driver/ 18* UT/ 7 iron/ PW / LW and Putter. Shot a 38.

Played in league that evening with all 14 clubs and shot 39. 🤔

After chatting with nob-san about some Tourstage drivers, this is the one I went for;

Head - X-Drive 905, 9.5į, 385cc.
Shaft - Fubuki j70x.
Static weight - 325g,
Length - 44".
Swing weight of C7.
GP tour wrap with 3 wraps low and 2 wraps high.

Had the head stripped and painted by Dave@extremepaint. Very cool, particularly in daylight.

Haaaarrrryyyyyy, thanks man. It looks lovely in the sunshine.

I was hitting it great yesterday, well, 3 out of 5 ain't bad! I thought I'd loose a fair bit of distance but oh no, it still gets out there no problem. Nice soft muted feel/sound.

I'd go to a more traditional length, Ian. 45" is perfect. Head is long enough that you don't need the extra length to create the speed. On the other hand this head is one of the straightest heads out there that you don't need to short of a built to control it. Best of both worlds (control and length).
Just my 2 cents.

Nice bag, Ian. If you can cope with the blue head, try the JPX900 driver. Real solid offering from Mizuno with a great stock shaft offering (Fujikura Speeder Evolution II). Had quite some good numbers with it when I tested it without even tinkering with the adjustability of it. Just didn't like the blue head.

Sorry, just noticed your question here, Ian. Feel was ok, somewhat middle of the road. Better than M1 but not as good as Epic for me.

I can't see the woods going anywhere at the moment. Good distance and really tight dispersion. Love 'em.

I have full sets of black oxide 545, 745, and 945, so I can mix & match, but different shafts in the 745 than the 545 & 945. 545 have stronger lofts. For wedges, I love the Cleveland RTX-3 blades. Some donít like the V soles in them but it gives me confidence that chunking wonít happen. I also just bought a Ben Hogan 21* Ft Worth Hi utility iron yesterday which also has a V sole.

Sorry to hear about your wife. That sucks. Hope she recovers well.
