Stew, that is madness on a whole other level. Don´t know what to say.
You could buy a decent car for what you have into that gear. ;)
Interesting you just have the greatest gear, but hybrids are the only non JDM clubs in your collection. I´m looking for the right hybrid at the moment and talked with Jason about it. We both agreed Adams has something going on there. I had sets of the original Idea Pros and sold them, stupid me. But I will give the Idea Pro, A12 Pro or something like that a shot. Still have an Idea Pro Black 23° with Attas that feels solid as a rock.
-
What kills me is that he must be so accurate with those irons and wedges that he doesn't carry a putter...😃
-
Just insane
-
Epon zero and whole bunch of putters are missing!

I'm using the Adams Idea XTDs right now. Absolutely hitting the lights out of them. They are worth a try for sure.

That´s the exact model I would like best... 19° XTD, the last years one with the grey crown. Too bad they are so hard to come by. Only one on eBay (UK) and the guy has problems opening the auction up for international bidders.
-
I had one of those XTD hybrids and found the RomaRo and ONOFF to be of similar distance...
-
ahhhhhh yes forgot to mention some putters.
really these threads need piccys to make them imteresting right????

stew if you weren't the king of ho's you'd be banned for being a club tease...

Stu
That's some serious collection of clubs.....
-
Where can I get a bag like that? I mean one that will hold 70 clubs...
Nice sets; more and better than most boutique shops!

Pics coming

Not that these look even remotely close to the patina that has come up due to high toxicity of onsen water , petrol blue is close but way deeper blue ...
ive never seen anything like what these are now in real life ......
utterly . amazing
ns 2g18 x protos soft stepped. best feeling shaft ive ever played. I used them again yesterday.
the 5 iron goes like a 7 for height and ultra straight, I cant cut the scoring irons in like I do others.
for these low launching heads, thsese shafts make an outrageous match.
Im still going over the shots yesterday with them , things of pure beauty and they go LONG I mean lonnnnnnnnn for blades, the 150 yard is in between an 8 and 9 on these. its an 8 or cut 7 on others of similar loft.
don't ask me how or why, just accept that it is so.
prob close to my best bag here id think.....,
-
Love the copper look. Awesome bag.
-
YESSIR!!!
-
Somehow the aspect ratio of the photos looks skewed/stretched (on my phone at least). Those are the Masda blades from what I can tell. I just completed my month-long test/trial of the Masda V-720 CB's. Masdas are underrated.
-
by the mob, sure ,but not by anyone that plays them.........
putters included.
-
That's right, S. Best brand nobody knows about. I've narrowed my main gamer sets to Miura BB and Masda blades.
-
im miuraism MB.. honma tw and these.
all my poor others just sit there rotting .
swings and round abouts tho I guess.
-
I should give those Honmas a legitimate chance. Are they as small as your SB-01 and Masda? Those two are almost identical in size.
-
cant belivee u havnt already, they are EASILY.............. as good as any.
3sets of masdas. 4 sets of honmas tell me something.
no diff in the miuras VS honma size wise, just a shape difference, I actually prefer the rounder honma look over the boxier miuras. masdas are abit longer in the blade and thicker top line, the miuras are more compact and chunkier, the honmas PROB have a smaller volume that all of them
-
Remind me, which do you prefer between the 717 and 727?
-
not sure.
I like the new lines on the 727m looks snazzy, new age cool
but
I like the cleanliness of the 7171m as well. old school no nonsense
the 727m have 0.5 * more FP I nthe scoring irons 4.5 the whole way thru from memory. sop tiny less offset but I dunno, really that's splitting hairs.
I guess the 727m ONLY bec they are newer?????????
-
Just rethought my bag from mondyas round. I ve rebuilt the kasco fd with a slightly looser stinger 1/4 inch shorter and its made ever ysingle fw I own obsolete.
its a high flat trajectory from the tee about 15 yards shy of my driver, with a draw bias most every shot, nad its hittable fro mteh deck in need be , but I cant get on nay more in 2 so ive given up distance, and gone for hitting to short sw distance , my tracks are all post 7000 yards and ive not got the minerals to go for it any more I tried my best Monday and its futile best I get is to that uncomy distance about 20 yards away and have to manufacture come crazy flop chip with a 60*, fk that for a game of soldiers, gimme 50 and I can at least control it a bit, so ALL my stronger fwds are now obsolete .
im going the original prgr egg with a stinger for height and control for mteh faiway and the modart ute for a piercing precise controlled shot as the alternate.
the bag for tomorrow is now 7.5* driver
12.8* fw
18* 5 wood ,
21* PRGR UTE WITH STINGER
then then 4/pw and ill try not having a lw for a game , see how that goes.
.
considering my strength has always played more to the power game over the precision game, 4 woods ISNT a bad thing to have, play to ur strengths I say. Im not sure if I can do without using a flop wedge and going for a lower bounced 57* sw I so can open up if required, like the toursatge x-wedge or maru. not sure about that ....
one club............ has changed my whole bag in one round.
-
Those Masada coppers are so unbelievably juicey...they would never leave my sight...
-
Its impossible to properly capture them as the actually look to thew eye with a camera, they are so deep petrol look to them, totally different to the usual shiny copper look.
Its the onsen .minerals that did it im sure , if i cud compare these to my otheres u wudnt believe he difference.
Sorry but photos dont show it accuratley.
apart from looks , they play superbly as well
-
I'm doing some experimentation with aging copper. Fun stuff. You can get it really dark if you want, then lighten it up from there. It comes out kind of like that smoked cooper. The first pic is dark. The second is after some working off of the patina.
-
thought these 2 might be a nice way to open the season..
might be in for a very rude shock
-
Looks like you got mad at that Ping and slammed it against a tree, it's got that much offset.
-
its rediculous. the miura 2 has nothing. it looks like its dead staraight. this shud be fun
-
travel bag......... outer island bag.
normally I take one of those big round golf travel bags from ogio or clubclove with me and fill it up with 40 kilos of goodness , don't even bother to take a proper bag anymore just a sunday walker from MIURA and then borrow one of the courses rental bags, last year I missed my golf week (grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr)to guam as business called, not so this year!
golden week me up.
courses aren't great but they are not terrible, one of them is fantastic, and I can hit as many balls as I want and play as much as a I like for about 100 bucks a pop it doesn't get much better to train for golf really.
3 weeks to go and im already champing, only had 1-2 rounds round this season err since november actually
all my outstanding builds will be finalized by the end of April
so heres the travel bag!

honma tw 727m / NS 130s
mizuno tn 93 ? NS 1050x
wedges :
mostly prgr al ldiff models ,ground is a bit heavy with clay base so cant use razor sharp wedge like the tourstages. need a bit of bounce, so prob the syard bolds as well.
balls. no brainer take 100 used tourstage x-01z , sghud be fine.
cant freeeeeeeeeeeking wait!!!!
-
this goes ok.
don't play comp so about 20 clubs in bag.
egg driver was spectacular!!
-
How was the RC 4 wood? I'm sure I had one of those as I recognise the head cover.
-
Its prob my all time fave fairway wood, rc bbd type s 17* w/ diamana aliislei 83s its not overly long but definitely not short its perfect from both tee or fairway, workable and a very nice dense soft feel.
I use this for courses where i can get on the par 5s but with a3wood like the egg or ryoma it wud over shoot the green , this is the perfect inbetweener, still have the 14* as well but not shafted.
Again that is so easy to hit from the fairway and u can make it sing from the tee if required. Similar to the old yamaha tours but a bit sleeker and smaller, these are not the longest fwods ever but they make up for it in thier simplicity to hit and thier workabilty which seems to have been totally forgottn these days.
-
Love the cart and club setup! Let's get a look at that putter!
-
roddio s-tuning 10.5*---diamana X 70s

prgr egg 18*--diamana stinger 70xx
prgr tr500 (cu) --NS 2g18x soft stepped
prgr rs tour 51/57--NS 125wv
prgr tr 60*--ns 950s
modart C/S
bridgestone tour x , hard shell ones.
boy, what a bag this was last weekend,.
forgot how good the tr500s were, pouring rain soggy damp. and these were just simply unbeatable...........
soft steped protos were just so good to watch fly. harldy missed a shot all day , was on fire with the irons, 4 birds front nine, nailing the irons to well makeable distance , ball flight is so cool to see.
thought they might be a bit tough , but no way these just rock, ill go so far to sa y these are my fave shafts , ive been playing a diff set each weekend and these just made me smile every hole.
slightly thicker grips on these than the masda slix I normally use, and well In the rain that made a very good grip. On the short grass I much prefer thinner grips.
diamana shafts ,sorry byt im a lok down I don't even bother with anything else any longer theres no point, both the boron stinger and X models are without peer, im lucky I guess I don't fk around with whats not broken. I get a mid high draw with this driver that is sneaky long , its not a hammer like some of my others , its for shaping and this does it better than EVERYTHING else.
wet days I don't even bother with anything else any more.
the NS 125s are a brilliant playing hsaft but they lack the sweetness of the 130s.
12 are prob the better shafts truth be told, but I just love the feel of the 130s more.
all wrapped ed up in my NS tour bag.
-
Sunday bag.
not typical over the ditch I guess ,but here how we roll.
typhoon wreaked havoc on the course , massive tress down everywhere debris all over the rough ,
but the fairways and greens were as always uttlery pristine!
oh and this guy popped his head out to say hello......
These irons are like scimitars.
Won't win any distance awards here
-
Wow, beautiful...Nagano?
-
Nope down south towards the beaches in shiizuoka

I don't know but shouldn't the irons grips color match your NS Blue bag? Shoes too?
-
ha shoes do actually....
grips yes ure I got blueies on another set., I don't reallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly go out to match that far.
I cud go blue balls I guess,
but that wud get frustrating!
-
Stu I just love reading your posts. We get these big long stream of consciousness posts that require google translate *gibberish setting* and then short concise and precisely spelled updates.
I’m not a doctor so I don’t know what exact condition it is you have but brother don’t change a thing! Shine on you crazy diamond! I’ve learned more about JDM from you than everyone else combined.
Well xcept for maybe Chris and ChiroMikey. I basically buy anything those guys say is good and usually they’re right but when it comes to real world experiences sporadically espoused in manic diatribes, no one else is even in your stratosphere. Love ya like a brother
